About Me
My name is Hadley McSunas and I am a senior at UW-Madison studying History, Archaeology, Digital studies and Folklore. I am planning to graduate with a B.A in History in the summer of 2024, and eventually earn a master in public history or museum studies in graduate school. Over the summer, I worked as a museum curator and realized how much I loved the archive and research side of history, which is why I continue to pursue that passion by writing articles for Wisconsin 101 on historical objects that I have studied. When I am not studying history, I love engaging with media whether that be creating my own videos or art in photoshop, or analyzing the media I watch.I would consider myself an analytical and empathetic person, which is very helpful in studying history as you are always having to try and figure out what people were thinking and why they reacted in certain ways in the past. I also consider myself a very helpful person, as I find a lot of joy in being able to help others work through problems they are having. In a career context, this trait comes through by how I am constantly trying to find ways to make history more engaging and more accesible to the public.
